Our Company Background

 
   

The Company was formed in 1996, with the aim of providing a quality service to both existing and potential clients operating from our Radstock office, but covering the South West and sometimes beyond. The Director,Mr John Steele, has now been working in this role for over 11 years with a total of 18 years experience in the financial services industry. We currently employ less than five people directly but Heritage Financial Consultancy Ltd is an appointed representative of Financial Ltd. Financial Ltd are a national network for Independent Financial Advisers.

In 1996 this company was formed with a view to being able to offer a more comprehensive service to clients. The aim of our service is to help clients create wealth in a predominantly low risk environment. This is done depending on their attitude to investment risk, using suitable investment vehicles, offered by major life offices and investments houses. However, whilst it is fine to create wealth, this also needs preserving. This is the ‘other side of the coin’. We can also help to ensure that these assets can be passed on to future generations in a tax efficient manner. We also offer assistance with the complex area of retirement planning for clients who wish to take the benefits from their pension savings. We look at the various options available to them at normal retirement date with a view to establishing the most efficient and beneficial method of utilising these funds.

Our company is an appointed representative of Financial Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Financial Ltd is currently one of the Independent Financial Adviser networks in the country. We are one of several appointed representatives who are part of this particular network. This is a support company which amongst many things frequently audit our training and compliance files.

Our aim is to build long-term relationships with clients. Unlike dealing with a large national organisation, our clients benefit from our ongoing and personal service. We would aim to understand further, through periodic meetings, their individual requirements plus their objectives much better as circumstances and needs change over the years ahead. We are ‘reactive’ to client’s ongoing and future needs. The disadvantage with a larger organisation can be that members of staff change, for example as a result of a promotion. Therefore, they are often unable to offer the same consistency of service plus understanding of a client’s needs that we can offer.
